Quartz makes up twelve percent of the earth's crust (by volume) and is formed by crystalizing directly from cooling magma. It can take nearly any color due to included minerals, and the Quartz family includes Smokey Quartz, Amethyst, Citrine, Tiger's Eye, and Aventurine. The "aura" effect is created by putting the Quartz in a vacuum with vaporized metals. 

Good for purity, joy, and peace.
