Jade forms under extreme pressures near tectonic fault lines, usually when two continents are pushing together. Jade is often a combination of two green minerals, Jadeite and Nephrite. Often mistaken for leaf fossils, Dendrites were never living. Dendrites are made of Manganese and grow from the center outward, similar to how snowflakes grow. They can grow through cracks in minerals or along sediment beds.
