The name Hemimorphite is a literal translation of the mineral, as each “half” of the stone has a different “form.” Hemimorphite occurs most frequently as clear or a light shade of blue and florescences green to light pink under ultraviolet light. Hemimorphite is an important ore of zinc and generates an electrical charge when heated.
