Ocean Jasper - Madagascar
Ocean jasper is a microcrystalline variety of quartz. It forms when mineral-rich fluids permeate volcanic ash and tuff. This beautiful tower is a great example of dynamic coloring with inclusions of epidote, chlorite, iron oxide, and feldspar. The careful way this piece was cut and polished captures movement with tiny orbicular notes along with small quartz druzy.
