Selenite, also known as Gypsum, forms as a large body of water, such as a lake, dries up and leaves behind minerals dissolved in the water. The red in this Selenite comes from Iron Oxide, a kind of rust that sits on the surface o the crystal. These incredibly rare red selenite come from the Quinlong mine in Guizhou Province, China.
